Kitesurf Area: Rules of Usage
THE KITESURF AUTHORIZED AREA IS ORGANISED IN TWO SITES:
● NORTH: EXPERT USERS OR ADVANCED PRACTICE (100 m.)
● SOUTH: USE ONLY BY THE AUTHORIZED SCHOOLS (100 m.)
The Town Hall of Sant Pere Pescador is ruling the North Area by means of a forfeit which includes responsibility and injury insurance. This forfeit is essential to have free use of the area.The area is limited by a beacon channel which will be used only for entering and getting out. Under no circumstances can riders use it to perform any kind of manoeuvres.
Rules to respect:
1- Not to enter the schools site.
2- Surf at 200 m. from the shore and avoid crowds in front of the site.
3- The North site is not a kite park –after the ride, collect the lines and the whole equipment to leave free space.
4- Wear the forfeit which enables you to surf on the harness handle. It is personal and non-transferable.
5- Not to surf in unfavourable weather conditions, under yellow or red flag, it will be the user’s responsibility.
6- The expert rider, by courtesy, will give way to the beginner.
7- When there is risk of collision, the rider on starboard has the preference, he will not change his course and will heighten the kite for the other rider to sail, follow the wind direction and lower the kite.
